Business Analyst
CurrentProgram Administration for all non-enterprise applications for Public Works. Develops and prepares plans and proposals, develops policy and procedures related to technology issues, and prepares summaries, recommendations, progress and special reports for Public Works. related to technology needs and progress or performance/ workload. Work with the records manager to ensure electronic records are appropriately created, managed, preserved, secured and are discoverable and disclosable as needed. Project Management: Manages technical projects for Public Works. Provides technical advice and expertise for multi-phase technology projects. Develops scope to include complexcomprehensive plans and recommendations; defining the project tasks and resource requirements; prepare for quality assurance; project tracking and managing the timeline; providing direction and support to the project team, including coaching and coordinating of staff to accomplish project tasks and goals. Prepares executive level presentations, narratives, summaries, reports and communication regarding evaluation and assessment of progress and results. Expert leadership in planning, scheduling, coordinating and training for end-users. Evaluates and researches new technology to increase efficiencies for employees and customers. Technical Assistance and Support: Hands on work supporting user requests including technical issue resolution and providing assistance to staff with all aspects of Public Works technology platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, phones, computer issues, iPad management, SharePoint issues, remote work issues, and other associated technology needs that are not the responsibility of Information Services staff. Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of issues and work stoppages and assist with resolution. Develop operation instruction, procedures, standards and best practices for users to refer to for technology related issues.
