Senior Financial Analyst
Current• Manage/develop team of 5—Assistant Manager/Sr. Accountants; oversee accounting functions, including: o General Ledger, Asset Management/Account Receivable (AR)/Accounts Payable (AP) sub-ledgerso Additional responsibilities—managing Treasury functions/Financial Analysis and Reporting/Tax (corporate and S&U)o Calculate sales use tax, quarterly/annual income tax filings; work with internal/external auditors • Review payroll/performance—fair market value/contracts; evaluate per International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS): o Analyze results; assess Medical Benefit division expenses/variance: ensure targeted profit margin is achieved• Ensure budget/forecast aligns with expectations; present balance sheet results/cash forecast to global management/Treasury • Write policy-compliant procedures; define processes to manage assets, and employee travel and expenditures (T&E)• Train employees due to turnover—manage individual firm profiles, providing access/rights related to Procurement/Financeo Review/provide feedback relating to team KPIs; lead annual system testing performed by Accounting• Following departure of Accounting Director, take over management of all accounting functions, such as: o Billing, budgeting, forecasting, financial research analysis, payroll/corporate sales use, tax management, etc. o Engage corporate team to coordinate meetings; train on Peoplesoft processes—T&E/POs, etc.; o Prepare for future tasks—collaborate with Mexico team to understand quarterly financial reporting/package:- Including: Balance Sheet reconciliations, Aging Analysis, and Compliance checklist, etc.o Prepare/deliver quarterly balance sheet analysis while adhering to global deadlines; identify fluctuations/major events - Support efforts to assess company direction/solvency; delegate responsibilities; encourage creativity, and growth
