Professional Association for California Licensed Estheticians and allied licensed beauty professionals. Moderation of a group of over 11,000 California Licensed (and verified) Estheticians and Cosmetologists providing skincare/lashes/waxing and esthetic students since 2014. Navigation, but not limited to current rules and regulatory changes, educational events, employment resources, and vendor recommendations. The creation of this professional association was inspired by presentation to the California Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee regarding proposed Senate Bills that would affect the Licensure of Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Licensees. Legislative and statewide interaction projects included statewide COVID-19 best practices for licensed beauty professionals, beauty industry exemptions for Independent Contractors (AB5), labor compliance legislation (AB1003), expansion and modernization of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act (SB803). SB803 achieved the first scope of practice revision for Licensed Estheticians since the development of the license type in 1978.
