Federal spending at the Department of Defense, more than $850 billion annually, is by far the largest portion of the discretionary budget of the United States. I have analyzed every Pentagon budget request for the last 40 years. I have also spoken and written about Congressional actions on each of those budget requests. My long history in Pentagon budgets has honed my ability to predict which technologies, contractors and segments of national security spending are likely to grow or decline. As an executive with a publicly traded defense contractor, my expertise informed corporate acquisition decisions regarding the target’s placement in the government contracting market. Additionally, I directed federal lobbying efforts targeted at both the Executive and Legislative branches that resulted in tens of millions of dollars in additional contracts for our products/services. I have served as a subject matter expert for financial clients, speaking about the future of Pentagon spending.
