I'll admit water treatment consultant wasn't what I'd tell people I wanted to be when I grew up, but after over 20 years working in the industry I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing. I don't know of any other role in which I would get to see behind the scenes in such a variety of industries and be in a position to positively impact how these businesses operate, whether that's the total cost of operation, environmental considerations, or training personnel on site. I have been able to get involved with a multitude of projects from paper mills to pharmaceutical manufacturers to office blocks and no two sites or systems are ever the same, which means that I am also constantly learning.
