Incorporating Assessment and interpreting data into my Teaching and Learning role has enabled me to garner a holistic approach to pupil engagement and progress. This role allows me to keep abreast of the latest pedagogy to maximise children's learning and explore best practices with colleagues. Working collaboratively, internally and externally, and also internationally, has enabled me to draw on a wider community of experiences. This also gives me the opportunity to broaden my horizons in other subject areas and not only in Maths.

I am passionate about maths, especially how children learn maths and have made it my mission to induct as many children (and adults) positively into the delights of the mathematical world! I previously worked in a junior school where we had just completed our second year of mastery teaching, with amazing results, increasing our KS2 Maths SATs results by 37% in this time. We had embraced Asian Style Maths and adapted many of their key features of teaching into our own practices, and we continued to learn and self-improve through Teacher Research Groups and Lesson Studies. I am also actively looking to grow my knowledge at all times and so attend courses and join working groups in order to learn from like-minded people. Last year, I hosted an NCETM Sustaining Mastery workgroup, working with 6 cohorts of schools in West London and Surrey. Currently, I consult for other schools and educational businesses including Pearson Education, Mangahigh, Maths No Problem and Third Space Learning. Roles include running whole school training, providing guidance for SLT, writing blogs, creating and auditing mathematical resources, writing video scripts, making and reviewing CPD videos, and supporting schools with observations, modelling teaching and learning walks.

Leading and managing the Early Years and Key Stage 1 team in an independent girls school. Working closely within SMT to ensure smooth-running of the day-to-day, whilst also implementing new creative ideas to further improve the department. Coordinating and delivering observations and appraisals, ensuring SMART targets are set. Regular feedback and termly reports to parents to provide a more holistic approach to learning for our children.

Having implemented Singapore Maths into school last year, my role is not only to oversee the efficacy of the scheme, but also to support teachers in their pedagogical development. I have also been given the opportunity to take on whole class maths, small (SEN) groups as well as intervention maths to plug gaps as and when needed. Overall, the profile of maths has risen incredibly across the school, indeed, in a recent pupil voice questionnaire, Maths was rated as pupils' favourite subject by the vast majority of the students! This years SATs results in Maths is up another 17% from last year - that's 37% in two years - mastery works!

This role enabled me to reach out to more children and support their learning of maths through creating resources from which tutors could teach from as well as resources that supported tutor training. I was also able to influence tutor development from doing observations and giving feedback against criteria. It gave me an invaluable insight into the business world having only ever worked in schools prior to this. During my time here, I was able to work alongside people who were also passionate about improving the quality of maths education in this country, using research to validate impact and make changes. It was exciting to be a part of a team leading the way in e-education and I now continue to work alongside this company in a consulting capacity.

In addition to teaching Maths groups, conducting observations and book scrutinies, giving feedback, I also led many CPD sessions as well as organised appropriate CPD for individuals or whole school.

Working as a PPA teacher in a one form entry school meant that I worked with every teacher and every child. This gave me an invaluable insight into the progression of subjects and also experience in teaching from Nursery through to Year 6. During this time, I was also the ICT Lead, which meant organising parent workshops, taking e-safety assesmblies, creating and maintaining the school website and also running and organising CPD for colleagues.
