Wendy Lockyer, started and continues to own and lead Accessibil-IT, an electronic document accessibility service provider. She also has extensive leadership experience as a Senior Executive in Personal Commercial Group, Finance, and Corporate Risk Management at BMO Financial Group.As Owner and President of Accessibil-IT Inc., Ms. Lockyer has built the company from inception to one of the leading document accessibility service providers in North America, with international brand recognition. The company has grown exponentially since 2009 and continues to create new jobs across Canada. Together with an experienced, dedicated team who have been with the company for many years, she accelerates the strategy to efficiently and cost-effectively provide document accessibility services to primarily large private and public organizations across North America. Ms. Lockyer and the Accessibil-IT team pride themselves on using best in class technology in combination with an extensive depth of technical knowledge to break down barriers for people who use adaptive technology. Ms. Lockyer has established a culture whereby people continue to learn, research the best tools available and work as a team to ensure services are compliant with all applicable legislation, including the AODA, The Accessible Canada Act, U.S. Section 508 and the ADA.During her years at BMO Ms. Lockyer held a number of professional and executive roles including Senior Vice-President Finance and Enterprise Strategic Initiatives and Senior Vice-President & CFO, Personal and Commercial Group, the largest business segment of BMO Financial Group.Ms. Lockyer is a CPA, CA, and started her career at Deloitte. She also spent 5 years at Olympia and York Developments, leading the development accounting for the World Financial Centre in Manhattan.Ms. Lockyer was on the Board and appointed Chair of the Audit Committee for BMO Insurance, a subsidiary of BMO Financial Group. She does fundraising for initiatives that support women and children in need and actively sponsors fund raising for charities which support people with disabilities.
