In my current role as a Product Owner for Distribution, I am working alongside two other Product Owners on the team to focus development efforts on migrating off of our legacy Distribution applications in to a more modern and efficient system to enhance user experience and productivity of our Distribution teams in our offices. I am an advocate for change and process improvement in delivery of value to our operations teams more effectively. As I have had many roles in IT, I understand the complexity of implementation of delivery so I'm always looking for ways to work with the team to automate and enhance the process so our development teams can focus more on value and quality vs the process of development of code to delivery to operations.-Implemented an overall team dashboard for backlog management and oversight-Worked with GBO to implement an operational feedback tool for Distribution-Identified several items that are to be addressed to improve our system demos to obtain faster feedback-Advocated for deployment of code in smaller increments by implementation of dark feature toggles-Created and published a bug matrix to help manage distractions to the team and overall backlog management of bugs-Create and maintain features and stories as well as assist with backlog management-Coaching of team on agile development process

As team technical lead for our Critical Logistics(CLM) application, I served as cross-team liaison for addressing technical requirements and dependencies as well as support as technical representative with business stakeholders. I drove design decisions and standards within the team and prioritized enabler items that grow the team and create greater efficiencies in our development process. I assisted the Product Owner with right-sizing stories, and advocated for System Health prioritization as well as writing stories and features related to this area for consumption of the team. I was also responsible supporting our production and pre-production environments.-Led an air service provider integration project by creating EDI specifications, Integration setups, overall design of messaging, followed by guiding and testing with the EDI development team in creatingthe messaging enabling our operations team to request status updates with air providers.-Advocated for and led effort to get our CLM application on a deployment pipeline allowing formore streamlined and frequent deployments. This took us from just doing patch code deploymentsoccasionally and major code updates yearly to a regular 2-week cadence of code releases.

I was recruited in to a migration team from my previous role as an EDI System Analyst to assist with a very large scale, multi-year migration effort to move our decades old transportation system on to a new platform. I spent several months learning the new platform, my new role , and support of the migration program. As a Configuration Engineer, I configure software to meet business needs by analyzing business requirements, and configuring the best solution to meet those needs. I work with business stakeholders and development to identify system gaps and request system enhancements to code where existing configurable space won't meet the business needs. After being in migration program for 2 years, I shifted to our Critical Logistics team in the same role where my focus was on specific clients within a different system, using the same transportation software which allowed me to greatly grow my skills due to the amount of and rapid nature of the work on the team.-Advocated and led effort for creation of automated tests so that the team could get better quality work in to the hands of users more efficiently.-Led a new customer direct integration project by analyzing customer and internal operations process and needs, creating EDI specifications, Integration setups, and overall design of messaging exchange directly with the customer leading to overall efficiency gains by electronic creation of shipping orders.-Led major code upgrade effort by formulating a test plan, coordinating the manual test plan with operational staff, and fielding of resolution of issues that came of that testing effort. Efforts paid off as there were no major issues that made the way in to our production systems.

The EDI program chose to migrate to using WebMethods for processing of EDI messages from a decades old proprietary translation system. I moved to this new migration team to pioneer the analysis, design, and specification mapping of a Canonical Model and supporting services for outbound messages for a new WebMethods environment in EDI for transportation services. This effort led to more efficient mapping and development efforts for the EDI team to allow for mapping to the new WebMethods system for migration and the eventual onboarding of new messaging. I created training materials and led the training of the transportation team using the new system. In addition, I took on creating a 3 month training plan to train new EDI analysts in our newly formed overseas location in India to create maps for our development teams.

I decided to take a deeper dive in to EDI by stepping away from a supervisory role and getting in to the actual work of an analyst. I analyzed client specifications that describe how they would present data or how they wanted data presented, understand how that information will be used in the context of our business and proprietary systems, and created a mapping document used to create the code that transforms the data. I became one of the top analyst completing 127 new and enhancement projects often working on multi-message suites for a client myself and having multiple client projects on my plate at any given time.

I was asked to join the Unix team as a supervisor to lead a team of junior administrators. I led the team through several systems migrations, while learning and performing some of that work that admins performed so I could evaluate inefficiencies in process and improve the speed at which work was completed while also improving communications within the team. During my time with this team I also sat on the Change Review Board, which was a new process rolled out to the entire IS department. In addition, I was a member of the Disaster Recovery team that was formed to make decisions regarding system/system recovery in the event of a given disaster.

While working for our branch office as support staff, I helped to solve a memory leak issue that had been occurring globally for users of the new document management application. The Corporate team asked if I would be interested in moving to our CHQ office and becoming part of their support team due to that success. -Built and implemented NT document management servers in all our branch office locations for our global roll out of document images over the file folder system.-Implemented, maintained, troubleshooting of document management scan stations,efax servers, Hylafax, and multiple applications that supported these services.-Support, upgrade, and implementation of suite of document management applications, globally, in all office locations.
