I started my business after being encouraged by employers, West Wind Nurseries to go out and start something on my own. I obtained my landscape design diploma through correspondence while child rearing my two children on my own. I started with one encouraging client and then the word spread of the type of work that I was doing. I started with one encouraging client and then the word spread of the type of work that I was doing. Native plant design and encouraging people to use less water, improve the soil and work with "mother nature" instead of against her. I tried to stand out from the other landscape construction industry, building unique and natural designs, free of the standard horticultural mediums. I helped to create the position of "head gardener" for The District of Lake Country and soon realized that being restricted by their "union" mentality was not going to work for me. I missed the great people who allowed me to create freely and in an environmental way, so after one year working for the 'man", I returned to my own business andI am now creating again for wonderful clients and am truly happy that I chose the route that I am on.I have been extremely fortunate to have been hired by many professional couples to either design and build new landscapes for them or to regularly maintain large gardens that need a trustworthy and knowledgeable craftswoman to complete necessary work on time, in the order that is needed and with the precision that customers desire to best show off their estates and properties. I also love to work for anyone seeking knowledge in the horticulture realm. They don't have to have big and boisterous properties but just a small piece of land that they call their own and that they enjoy.
