I created Operators Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, and the Autoclave Management and Control System (AMCS) Software and Operators Manual utilising MS Word. I requested certification and manufacturers literature. The equipment I wrote about were composite equipment, such as Hot Drape Formers (HDFs), Autoclaves, Ovens, Presses, etc.I produced documentation packs that incorporated manuals, certificates, manufacturers’ literature, A3 drawings that comprised of electrical & control and mechanical drawings. Within the pack I included two document transmittal forms and a covering letter. Finally I included a CD.Additional tasks included the production of Training Certification utilising MS PowerPoint, franking the post, and purchasing stationery. -
Cietp (Compound Interactive Electronic Technical Publication)Milsom Industrial Designs Limited Subcontracting To Agustawestlands Jan 2002 - Dec 2010YeovilMy responsibilities in this role as a contractor to AgustaWestland on the Bowman Contract were to publish data modules, which were exported from Pubstation and then imported into an IETP Viewer. The data modules were created in EAGLE and Aspect then released into Acquired. As an Administrator I had various access rights to control a project within the iLOG database. On occasions when the projects were nearing their target date, I would involve myself in the authoring aspect of the task. As a Technical Author I would create descriptive and procedural data modules using FrameMaker from within EAGLE, and create illustrated parts catalogues using Aspect. All data modules followed the Def Std 00-60 structure.My key achievement within my contracting role was starting as an ISE Level 3 and progressing up to Level 4. As a qualified Technical Author I was invited to take on the role of the Technical Publications Lead. I continued my role as detailed above but with the additional responsibilities such as attending meetings and teaching new employees how to use the iLOG database.

It was during this role I decided to become a qualified Technical Author and hence obtained City & Guild qualifications.Prior to this job role I was a Principal Word Processing Operator in the Word Processing Department. My responsibilities were to produce electronic data from hand written copies. It was while I was working in this department for Plessey, whom the company was at that time, they decided to amalgamate with GEC to become GPT who then were taken over by Marconi. I joined the Word Processing Department as a temporary worker when after 8 months was invited to become a member of the permanent workforce.
