I am a teacher with a genuine love for all students of all capabilities, limitations, and needs. I am seeking an elementary school teaching position. I have taught first grade in the Boise School District at both Horizon Elementary and at Koelsch Elementary for the summer sessions of 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. I have also worked in the Boise School district as a certified substitute teacher for kindergarten through the 12th grade. Prior, I have taught first grade curriculum at a highly acclaimed private school to kindergarten students in a full-day program. My background also includes teaching as a Title I support teacher for the Boise School District, full-day preschool in a rigorous academic program in a private school setting, tutoring after school, and as an aide in a severely disabled special needs program. (And, I loved it all!). Specialties: Teaching children how to read through phonics, and teaching children spelling and math concepts and skills. I take great joy in inspiring children to strive for and achieve their highest individual potential, and instilling in them a strong and lasting love for learning.
