The pace, variability, and Planetree-certified atmosphere brought me back to Banner Health Page Hospital, where I cover multiple departments: Emergency and Outpatient Registration, Radiology Scheduling, Surgery Scheduling, and Physical Therapy Scheduling and Reception. By covering multiple departments, I learn new skills and fill out my knowledge bank and maintain a well-rounded scope of capability. It also makes me a valuable team player as I am available to cover for more of my colleagues, allowing them to maintain a healthy work/life balance. I get deep satisfaction from being able to make a difference in patients' and their loved ones' experiences in any way I can, from a warm smile to a cup of coffee, from a shoulder to cry on to a hug if they want it. I excel at customer service and strive to bring this together with front-line patient care to flip the construct of medical reception being cold and uncaring. I am in leadership training through my employer and eagerly look forward to learning more so I can further my career and work towards a position where I can help influence the culture of care.
