Laragh Courseware produces web-based training materials, including IT content for professionals and end-users. Courses developed during my employment at Laragh included Oracle Database, Cisco, the Windows .NET suite, Windows NT, 2000 and XP, Novell Netware, UNIX, Linux, Java, C++ and XML.February 1998 – July 2002: Editorial Manager, Laragh CoursewareI was required to set up and manage an editing department and draw up policies and procedures pertaining to web-based training content development. Ongoing responsibilities included: * personnel management, such as recruiting, training, and appraising staff * analysis of department training needs and development of training courses, both for new employees and ongoing training * delivering training courses * quality control, ensuring that editorial standards were met by the writing and editing teams * project management, including planning for new curricula and coordinating workflow through writing, editorial review and subject matter expert review * analysis and design of new curricula * daily liaison with our development partners and clients based in Ireland, including working closely with a team of subject matter expertsFebruary 1997 – January 1998: Technical Writer, Laragh CoursewareDuring this period, I was responsible for: * writing, editing and updating courses * applying and keeping up to date with house-style policies * ensuring the smooth flow of work through a rigorous review process * participating in training sessions to train writers who were new to the team
