In this role, I oversee the operations of the unit, leading a team of professionals in managing and coordinating national-level surveillance activities. I am responsible for ensuring the timely collection, analysis, and reporting of surveillance data, as well as facilitating research initiatives to enhance public health knowledge and response capabilities. Additionally, I play a key role in developing and implementing emergency response plans to address public health emergencies and ensure a swift and effective response.

As the secretariate of the VHREC, my main role is to facilitate and coordinate the ethical review process for research proposals, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and guidelines in the field of health research within Vanuatu. And supporting the committee's operations and maintaining a transparent and ethical framework for research activities.

Serve as a liaison between Vanuatu MoH and the World Health Organization, ensuring effective communication and collaboration in the implementation of international health regulations. Focus is on reporting and responding to public health events, facilitating information exchange, and coordinating efforts to address global health threats through SPAR.

I played a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing health data to detect and respond to public health threats. My responsibilities included designing and implementing surveillance systems, conducting data analysis, and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop effective strategies for disease prevention and control.
