Working in partnership with the Headteacher in establishing and implementing the strategic aims and objectives of the school.Leading the strategic development of the EYFS provision ensuring that all pupils and staff reach their full potential. Taking teaching responsibility as class teacher and undertaking the role of Early Years SENDCo and DDSL. Providing information and reports to Governors.Sharing the responsibility of monitoring the quality of teaching and learning across the school, ensuring and promoting good practice and continuous professional development, promoting high levels of achievement and attainment.Leading on the development of non-core subjects and sharing the responsibility in developing the curriculum across the school.

Implementing organisational and operational change and maintaining relationships with key organisations and with strategic partners. Helping to promote, inspire and encourage involvement in the arts.

Consultancy support to the public and charitable sector in regards to service improvement, governance, financial management and policy. Providing coaching support to emergent young leaders from community based organisations.

Providing a range of support to public sector organisations on performance, strategic change management and improvement. Conducting research, producing guidance on current and emergent policy areas.

Corporate lead officer to Chief Officers and Directorate Management Teams on strategic planning, performance, risk management and improvement. Lead officer for corporate inspection regimes.

Delvelopin links with the Community Strategy, Corporate Strategy, service and operational plans, identifying any gaps and developing plans to address them.Designing and delivering strategies to address and take forward issues and initiatives linked to the Government’s Modernising Agenda.Contributing to the Chief Executive’s strategy for policy development with particular emphasis on service improvement and performance management.Leading and co-ordinate the Council’s corporate performance management arrangements including reporting mechanisms to elected members, chief officers and senior managers.

Undertaking compliance and Value for Money audits.Documentation of regular audit procedures using CIPFA and Audit Commission guidelines; making recommendations for improvement and report writing.Research to assist the monitoring and testing programmes.
