Work directly with the Director of CHA Broadband Services (CHABS), the CHABS Operations Manager and the CHABS Operations Specialist to meet mutual objectives required to manage billing effectively and efficiently for all CHABS broadband programs. The position requires teamwork and high-level communications to assist in managing these responsibilities to produce a quality product while managing multiple deadlines. Key skills include experience in general accounting, strong problem-solving skills, report generation, work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, decision making skills, and ability to work with others.Duties Include: • Maintain billing contact listings, committees, and distribution lists using internal database application• Prepare CHABS member data for computer entry, establishing entry priorities, and compile database reports for Director• Process customer and account documents by reviewing data for discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the client/vendor for resolution• Enter customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard• Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate data duplication• Secure information by completing data base backups• Maintain customer data confidentiality• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed• Maintain billing schedules for approved and pending requests; provide schedules on amonthly/quarterly basis to accounting for invoicing, and prepare year-end accrual entry• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies between billing schedules and accounting ledgers• Ensure that all billing and accrual deadlines are met in accordance with the closing dates set by CFO• Assist with maintenance of strong internal controls and process documentation
