National Children's Day UK aims to raise awareness about children's rights and freedoms, especially in relation to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The Save Childhood Movement is a collaboration of individuals and organisations that have come together over a deep concern about children's health and wellbeing in modern cultures. Since its 2013 launch, the movement has identified and highlighted areas of key concern, protected children from inappropriate developmental and cultural pressures and fought for their natural developmental rights. It has also created a platform for dialogue and debate, identified examples of inspirational practice and become a think-tank for innovative and future-focused solutions.

Connect initiatives are all about creating, celebrating and strengthening ‘village-like’ communities, both within existing villages and towns, but especially within larger towns and cities . They connect local people of all ages to become actively knowledgeable about, and involved in, the daily lives of their local areas. They seek ways of making each community increasingly self-sufficient and resilient in the face of external pressures (such as economic downturn, the impact of climate change and decreasing oil supply). They seek to forge new, innovative and mutually beneficial urban/rural links.But most importantly of all they are about recreating the feel and ‘spirit’ of community in a contemporary way.

The Unique Child (UQC) Network united people worldwide who were concerned about the nature of current educational systems and their lack of focus on the wellbeing and innate potential of each child. It promoted the idea that learning models should serve the healthy and sustainable development of the communities within which they exist - and that diversity of interest and ability was the natural expression of any organic system. It also suggested that creativity, risk-taking and innovation were essential elements for any healthy system.
