Wendy is a branding and design leader with international consulting experience in the US, Europe and Canada. She cares deeply about designing authentic experiences that respond to people’s needs and brings a human-centered approach to her work across products, places and organizations.Wendy advises global clients on their brands at Gold Brand Group with a focus on healthcare and tech. As the Principal at GBG, she works collaboratively with client marketing teams and creative partners on strategy, marketing communications and design. Prior to GBG, she held senior strategy roles at branding and design firms Desgrippes Gobé and Landor Associates where she helped build the firm's digital practice. In the early days of the web, Wendy started her career at digital pioneers PointCast and Ikonic Interactive.Invested in her hometown, Wendy works with Toronto clients to solve place-based challenges at OpenCity Projects. OpenCity is an experience design studio where Wendy is a Founding Partner and leads research and strategy. She taps into culture and behavior to understand people’s lived experience and applies insights to design more meaningful places. She adopted an equity lens as a CivicAction DiverseCity Fellow and now teaches inclusive design workshops at design schools OCAD University (Toronto) and ENSCI-Les Ateliers (Paris). Wendy is part of the League of Innovators and a program advisor at the Brookfield Sustainability Institute.
