About Wendy Mackie

I am driven by a robust vision for community development, embracing the challenge of new beginnings and substantial growth opportunities. My career is marked by a passion for creating strategic roadmaps and actionable plans that foster the establishment of replicable programs and services. As a seasoned advocate for building strong partnerships, I focus on driving the efficiencies essential for sustaining impactful initiatives, consistently aiming for a triple bottom line to benefit all stakeholders involved. My expertise in navigating public-private partnerships allows me to effectively bridge communications between diverse groups and to pinpoint opportunities where I can deliver significant impact. I firmly believe that meaningful economic development starts at the community level and that effective workforce development begins with individual engagements and strategic company collaborations. Access to resources and proficient communication are the cornerstones of successful outcomes. In 2006, my journey in the boating industry began in Massachusetts with a marine trades career exposure pilot program that initially served 150 high school students. This initiative grew into a comprehensive suite of worker pipeline programming over 15 years, catering to young individuals from the 4th grade to adult incumbent workers. My work has predominantly focused on nonprofit management, program administration, financial development, and organizational growth—always with an eye towards bolstering economic growth and enhancing community development. I am committed to ensuring that the necessary infrastructure and funding are in place to support best practice programming and to guarantee the long-term sustainability of these valuable services.
