Experienced Physician Leader with over 20 years of experience in primary care, public health and global health as a clinician, researcher, teacher, writer, policy maker, technical advisor and manager. Dr. Johnson's career includes stints scaling up HIV treatment in Mozambique, overseeing an urban public health department and, directing a community clinic in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her work has been focused on advocacy; designing and implementing health interventions and programs for marginalized populations both in the US and in internationally, especially in the areas of women’s and children’s health, HIV, and addiction medicine; practicing full-service primary care; and addressing the social determinants of health.
