Wendy Mueller is an executive with experience in private offerings, restructuring in bankruptcy proceedings, debt investments, fund raising, public accountancy, and governance. Her background as a CPA, which includes 5 years with a Big-6 firm, includes audit, tax, M&A, SEC filings, and private Reg D SEC Funds. Wendy’s skills are best utilized when significant complications are at hand. As a Managing Director or CFO, she primarily works side by side with the CEO, CIO, Principal, investor, or entrepreneur providing trust and stability while working toward a sustainable strategy. Because of the many restructurings she has been involved with as an investor and in public practice, she is able to provide insight and support when there is never a “right” answer to a path forward. Wendy most recently joined LactaLogics as CFO when she learned that not all preemies receive the an exclusive human milk diet. Prior to LactaLogics, Wendy was Co-founder and Managing Director of USDR Investment Management, an SEC registered advisor of alternative investment funds. Over $200 million of committed capital was raised and placed over a series of private funds investing in large bankruptcy proceedings, beginning in 2009. Examples of investments in bankruptcies include DIP financing, extinguishment and issuances of new debt and/or equity, valuation settlements, convertible debt, rights offerings, trade claims, warrants, and IPOs. The uniqueness of Wendy’s skills was built on a foundation with Coopers & Lybrand in the St. Louis and Houston offices and Acquisition Partners, Inc., a rollup of water and wastewater companies. Her original mentors were from those firms and guided her. She is still in contact with today, almost 3 decades later with her original mentors. As a Board member, Wendy becomes involved when there are significant issues operationally and/or financially. Her most recent board activity was with a Charter school that was one of the lowest performing (5%) in the State of NV. Wendy joined as Treasurer on the Board and quickly worked with the Board Chair to re-work the board, internal leadership, and finances. The school is now performing at or above levels of similar public schools with same student demographics.
