At the request of Mayor Quentin Hart, Wendy Bowman has served as City of Waterloo Communications Director since February of 2017. Previously, Bowman was Communications Director of the Grow Cedar Valley, a regional economic development organization serving six counties in Northeast Iowa. Bowman spent 25 years in documentary film production. She is an arts advocate promoting the role of the arts and artist in the community, economic development, and city planning. Making strategic connections is my strength. "I naturally find common threads between concepts and ideas, connect people to information, resources, and people.
