World Renew (formerly known as the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee) is an international faith-based NGO that works with local partners to do disaster response and community development programming.As Director for Church and Community Engagement, I- Led a team of diverse, geographically dispersed fundraisers responsible for raising around $2 million annually from church accounts- Oversaw the development of a Church with Community program designed to equip local churches to do community development in their own neighborhoods- Provided leadership for the Congregational Justice Mobilization program designed to increase awareness about the social justice issues affecting international poverty alleviation efforts- Redesigned the Global Volunteer Program to better reflect the realities of short term missions in a pandemic, resulting in reduced investment with better alignment with strategic priorities- Co-created a strategic plan that created momentum and alignment between US and Canadian offices and between subteams, resulting in increased revenue even during a pandemic
