👩🏻‍⚕️ Background: I've dedicated 8+ years to helping children and adults with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in the medical setting. The gaps in health care service delivery, patient/family education, and accessibility sparked my transition to research, especially translational research that seeks to produce meaningful, applicable results and drives positive change to clinical care. 🗣️ Currently, I contribute to research on speech science in the telehealth space, which has led to the ongoing development of our speech learning software. At the moment, I find myself diving deep into the product and business development side of ed/health tech as we are commercializing the software in order to help more patients and families gain access to tools that promote improved education and health outcomes. I also continue to be an active, national and state licensed speech language pathologist and see patients at local hospitals in the Austin, TX area.⭐ My mission is to create a more equitable and accessible landscape for patient care and family education.
