I coach accomplished women through powerful midlife reinvention, and also support women to overcome performance anxiety and crippling nerves to become confident and successful public speakers and leaders.I'm a highly sought after voiceover artist represented by top London agent Yakety Yak- check out my reels here: https://www.yaketyyak.co.uk/artists/wendy-lloyd And my Open To Criticism podcast explores the significance of cultural inequalities and will change how you watch films and consume culture.-----My Drama-Free You coaching guides mid-life women into confidence, empowerment and happiness. As a transformational Women's Centred Coach, I support women's reinvention through midlife uncertainty and challenges into the life they always wanted. Reclaiming dreams that got lost along the way. I help women because not only am I one, but I too wrestled with the social, emotional and personal angst that holds women back - I know what it takes! My career began back when radio stations often only had one woman – if that - presenting. It was assumed I wouldn’t get the same opportunities – or pay grade – as the guys. I spent too long feeling timid and grateful, and then angry and let down. Now I mobilise all I’ve learned – including a recently completed degree in Psychology and Masters in Cultural Inequalities - to help women raise their expectations – and achieve THEIR version of success. My social and emotional skills are my superpower from such a varied career. I’ve hosted shows for the UK's top broadcasters and worked with rock stars to royalty; movie stars to MPs. Not forgetting radio phone-in callers - and a lot of deep listening work as a longstanding volunteer in my community -----My podcast Open To Criticism platforms big conversations about inequalities and representation in film and wider culture from multiple perspectives. And it was nominated for two Independent Podcast Awards in 2023 and 2024.Transforming what critics and audiences expect from culture and how it’s scrutinised. Because we ALL need stories and characters beyond the world of white male filmmakers - and critics.-----Additionally I regularly inveigle my way into your brain using just my dulcet tones. My 25+ years as a highly successful voice over artist includes narrating BBC’s Great British Menu for 9 years, and numerous documentaries - including Panorama and, bizarrely, many about the Royal family. I've sold you Gina vaginal hormones, Butlin's holidays, Nintendo and much more. And I still get paid to go see movies and talk about it. How cool is that?

Podcast Producer And On-Air CoachNoon Sep 2024 - PresentLondon, Canada Metropolitan AreaI stepped in as Producer for Eleanor Mill's Queenager podcast in September of 2024. The podcast had already launched in the summer and several episodes were already live. All season 1 interviews were in the bag, but the show needed its branding and presentation shaping to speak more effectively to its target audience. So I produced a whole new sound for the show, commissioned a new theme tune, and the revamped show was relaunched. In addition, I proposed a companion episode: The Debrief to harvest the incredible stories from Eleanor's guests and to connect their powerful life lessons to listeners' own struggles and aspirations. Each Debrief episode features Eleanor and myself (with me wearing my women's centred transformational coach hat) discussing key guest takeaways, helping listeners to take action and make positive change in their own lives. -
Podcast Host And ProducerOpen To Criticism Mar 2023 - PresentLondon, England, United KingdomInequalities in film and its criticism matter because how we talk about movies and WHO gets to do it determines what has cultural value. It therefore impacts which films and stories get appreciated and therefore funded. Nominated twice for the Independent Podcast Awards 2023, and twice again in 2024. Open to Criticism features film critics, cultural commentators, and academics and showcases the considerable research, interviewing, and production skills I have amassed over my career. This podcast is the result of academic research I carried out as part of my MSc in Cultural Inequalities at the London School of Economics, my 30 year career as a film critic, and my expertise as an audio and broadcast professional.Season 2 was released March 2024. -
