As Manager, I supported 23 employees within the Operations Control Center which consisted of Coordinators that were responsible on Operations, Crew Scheduling , and Airport Support. I focused on development of all employees within the department and implementation of recovery processes to ensure operational readiness for irregular events such as weather disruptions and mechanical failures. Developed and improved instructions surrounding communications between the Operations Control Center and stakeholders creating a positive work culture. I managed various operational aspects, including manuals, daily procedures, employee performance, training curriculum, schedules, and oversaw compliance with regulatory standards set forth by Transport Canada and other relevant authorities. In addition, I assumed the role of Interim Direct, Operations Control Center during short term vacancies. During such time, I was able to introduce competitive pay scales for the Operations Control Center and incorporate the role of Operations Duty Managers into the Operations Control Center to ensure around the clock support was present.
