I administered the research, communications, outreach, student training activities, and financial management of the URI STEEP Superfund Research Center. (Sources, Transport, Exposure & Effects of PFASs) from NIH. 2017-2022 $9.4M budget2022-2027 $8.1M budget♦ Ensure successful integration of research projects and cores through regular meetings and evaluations from internal and external advisory committees.♦ Constructed the successful 800-page NIEHS grant renewal, integrating an overall proposal that included eight components. ♦ Managed all phases of grant administration in cooperation with the URI Office of Sponsored Projects, including pre-award, post-award, carryover, allowable costs, and subcontract monitoring.♦ Planned and executed well-attended live, virtual, and hybrid multi-day local, national, and international conferences. Contacted speakers, developed schedules, and arranged vendors. ✯Planned FLUOROS Global 2021. Created budget, scheduled committee meetings, managed registration, and created international agendas. I built this coalition focused on alternative fuels and petroleum reduction from obscurity to hundreds of participating organizations, including businesses, environmental groups, and federal and state agencies.♦ Event Planning and execution—some for 100s of attendees—for numerous outreach events, stakeholder meetings, and working groups; Responsible for all details and measuring outcomes✯ Central planner for the National Drive Electric Week—the largest event of its kind in New England. Speakers included Rhode Island’s full federal delegation and the mayor of Cranston, and the Rhode Island DMV announced its new Electric Vehicle license plate.
