Marketing and communications support for Rocky Mountain Institute's Climate Intelligence Program, with several initiatives focused on reducing global emissions in industry and the hard to abate sectors. This role works as an integral part of RMI’s Climate Intelligence team, and also in RMI’s broader Marketing & Communications team, utilizing diverse channels and media, including social media, online outreach, reports and media relations.

Wendy Lu founded a climate-smart food and agriculture company focused on insects as food. In that five-year effort, single-handedly led marketing, product and business development and sales. As part of this work, she also researched and wrote market research reports, social media content across multiple channels, newsletter content and contributed to over 50 earned media stories about the company. RMMR products were distributed in 12 U.S. states and online.As CEO of RMMR, Wendy Lu was responsible for operations, production, sales, marketing and public relations, or as in most start-up ventures, wearing basically all of the hats for the company.

A communications professional with more than 12 years experience in 10 countries, Wendy Lu McGill has created and managed research, strategic outreach, media, fund-raising, and internal communications campaigns for UNDP, OECD, UNICEF, WHO, UNODC, Habitat for Humanity International, the International Organization for Migration, and the U.S. Peace Corps. Complimenting this experience, she has technical skills in social media strategy, website development, graphic design, knowledge management, document creation, writing and publishing.
