We are living in an increasingly complex world and the impacts are felt by many. Here are some of the quotes I've heard from people around the world: "They want me to work longer hours. I won’t work my life away. I want a balance.”"I don't think I'll ever be able to afford to buy a house. Where will I live?""I can't stay there anymore - there isn't enough water to be sustainable.""My body can't do what's being asked of me anymore.""I'm exhausted and feel like no matter what I do, I can't catch up. I am feeling hopeless."Wendy is a multi-dimensional leadership and executive coach who guides and enables people and organizations to expand and deepen their capacity while navigating an ever-changing world. These are historical times on our planet. Wendy guides her clients to explore their learning and co-create another path towards a life rooted in what they value most for themselves and the communities they serve.Coaching with Wendy explores a client's world through their stories and culture, family and ancestral systems, and the somatic experience of the body. These threads are woven together with Wendy's lived experiences to reveal the invisible ways a client's current leadership has been shaped. By making these visible, the client can then be intentional about how they lead and re-imagine the future. She also creates facilitated experiences for teams and organizations, embedding practices to supplement what the client hopes for.Wendy is trained as a Warm Data Lab Host, a facilitated experience that immerses us in deep conversations, illuminating how we bring vitality to each other's lives. Like fascia, these conversations are the connective tissue in how we relate to one another during changing times.Embodiment is the foundation of her transformational work with clients. Her commitment to disentangling from systems and structure (e.g., race, patriarchy, colonization, etc.) has widened her ability to ask different questions developing her ability to re-imagine. She is the co-creator of Reimagining Racial Equity and reimagining patriarchy, transformational workshops. Both can be customized for organizations and use the structure of race, culture, and/or gender to help individuals disentangle their imaginations and widen what's possible. Her teachers include Rev. angel Kyodo williams, Dr. Resmaa Menakem, Dr. Báyò Akómoláfé, Dr. Vanessa Andreotti, Nora Bateson, Arawana Hayashi, and Dr. Tema Okun. She excavates her inner world and travels to experience cultures in her outer world. She learns alongside three young adults and a furry friend.

FounderConscious Collaboratory® Nov 2018 - PresentAncestral Lands Of The Piscataway, Between Baltimore Md And Washington DcThe conscious collaboratory® gathers diverse thinkers to spark new solutions to old problems. It is also aspirational and a place where powerful conversations around systemic change are explored. There is an iterative process to both develop these complex ideas, test them, expand the community, shape the ideas further, test them, and continue this process to expand the ideas to scale and into solutions to solve complex problems bigger than any one organization, community, or institution. Wendy led a process like this over a period of 7 years to create change that served an intergenerational community. What began as a conversation between two people at the bus stop became a multi-layered community solution that involved reshaping land use, building a new elementary school, and ultimately affecting over 20,000 people. Our conscious collaboratory® services include coaching, facilitation, education, and training, each of which supports shifts and changes in organizations.Through the conscious collaboratory®, Wendy facilitates a group of conscious business leaders to deepen their strategic awareness and expand their leadership capacity while still holding their organization's commitment to mission. -

Civic LeaderHoward County, Maryland 2000 - 2006Howard County, MarylandI championed community efforts and positively affected thousands of lives in my local community. I successfully led efforts to rezone property that would be better suited for community use such as a new elementary school. I created the strategic vision and led the efforts with surrounding neighborhoods to realize the vision using diverse methods such as meeting with County leaders, meeting with the Board of Education, a public rally, television and newspaper interviews, and delivering extensive public testimony to the Board of Education and the County Council. I created a joint use proposal between the new school and the YMCA including conceptual design, architectural designs and business plans to justify the space and cost savings. This proposal also balanced the needs of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, the Howard County YMCA and County's need for a new elementary school in our community. In 2007, Howard County opened the Veterans Elementary School in Ellicott City, MD and in 2009, the YMCA opened the newly renovated Dancel Family YMCA. -
