Manage Invoice Processing - North America And CanadaLehigh Hanson Oct 2003 - Nov 2020My previous team handled invoice routing through an electronic (OCR) workflow system known Onbase. On average we processed up to 1,500 invoices a day with a total of 35,000- 40,000 invoices every month. I also managed the accruals for month end.The 2nd-process within my team was the procurement process. I have a team of two that match receipts to received invoices and post for payment.The 3rd process within my team is what is known as auto-freight hauler vouchers. These are vouchers that are transferred from our billing department, posted by AP to be paid to our contract haulers. This includes matching up a haul report on a weekly basis with tight deadlines. The 4th process in my team is managing the utilities for all of the US and Canada through our third party vendor known as Ecova. In addition this associate also manages timely processing of all land line invoices, cell phone invoices, and all misc. utility accounts.The 5th and final process that is handled within my team is entering all manual check requests on a daily and weekly basis based on due dates and check run dates. With all of the system enhancements and process improvements put into place in the last couple of years, my team of 10 was able to maintain the workflow, meet all SLA (service level agreements) daily, weekly, and monthly. As their manager my job was to assist the team in removing obstacles that hinder their progress, improve processes, and ensure each person had a fully trained backup for vacation and PTO. Over my career I have written dozens of training manuals, SOP documents, yearly team reviews, employee performance improvement plans, and detailed process manuals. I was responsible for project managing the implementation of the AP processes for all newly acquired companies.
