Following a significant restructure of the company, an assistant manager role was created for each of the Operations Departments within the Administration Division. Reporting to the relevant Head of Function for each of the areas; Policy Administration, Operations Processing and Client Services, the role consisted of a 50/50 split between project and man management responsibilities (with up to 120 staff) across all three departments and thus presented a variety of duties and accountabilities. Outline of Responsibilities:• Act as assistant manager in relevant department, taking on all roles of responsibilities of the function head• Responsible for all man-management and supervision issues, Team Leader 121s, feedback and appraisals • Ensure the consistent and effective implementation of the Operations Service Delivery Strategy and Management objectives for all department activities• Management of relationships between 3rd party providers and internal customers• Management of the sign off process of communications both internal and external• Responsible for the investigation and implementation of improvements to processes and procedures by continual evaluation and control and demonstration of cost effectiveness of proposals• Internal consultancy role• Lead, manage and deliver assigned projects and associated resources whilst managing stakeholders accordingly• Comply with all legislative and regulatory requirements including SoX, HMRC and FSA • Management of testing deliverables for all associated systems• Responsible for the Management of Change as well as relevant communications• Assessment and rationalisation of business requirements including impacts and risks• Employ project management methodologies in all project related work
