SME for General Ledger and Chart of Accounts

• Preparation of management information and communication to senior management• Responsibility for Monthly and Quarterly Group reporting for ZIIL UK Branch and then Zurich Insurance Plc within prescribed timescales• Regulatory reporting in accordance with Irish Financial Regulator requirements with comparisons back to UK GAAP and IFRS• Statutory reporting for ZIIL UK Branch and another smaller insurance company• Act as point of contact for external auditors during their review and audits• Regulatory reporting in accordance with FSA requirements• Develop, manage and improve effective relationships with key business individuals• Develop and communicate the role of Financial Accounting & Reporting within the organisation• Improving the department effectiveness, efficiency, internal controls and writing various process notes• Project work; Chart of Account Changes, Statisticals into SAP, Octopus impact analysis on the output from Corporate Reporting
