The operational leader of the 2020 Vision Plan for the Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML). Responsible for the completion of fourteen major building projects. Serves as owner's representative. Orchestrates large teams of library staff, contractors, architects, realtors, legal counsel, construction managers, government personnel, and vendors. Leads internal team of five staff members responsible for executing all construction and renovation projects throughout the library district. Monitors and distributes budget in excess of $210M in capital operational funds. Interacts with and presents to the Board of Trustees regarding requests and recommendations related to the library's aspirational building program as well as operational requests which require Board action.- Completed construction and post-opening remediation of nine award winning library facilities: Driving Park, Whitehall, Parsons, Main, Northern Lights, Shepard, Northside, Hilliard, Martin Luther King, and Dublin.-Oversight of the Phase II building program that include concept, design and construction of Karl Road, Hilltop, Reynoldsburg, and Gahanna Branches-Presented at American Library Association Annual Conferences, U.S. Green Building Council Buildings in Action, USGBC Design Columbus, and Central Ohio-Association for Information Science & Technology.-Guest lectured on project management in libraries at Kent State – MLIS Columbus Branch and Syracuse University iSchool.-Served on owner's representative panel at 2018 Turner School of Construction Management Graduation

Developed system-wide project management methodologies, quality, process improvement, and business process automation strategies, programs, activities to support strategic objectives and to improve organizational effectiveness. As a member of the Management Team, identified areas for organizational optimization, managed annual tactical plan, assisted project managers with barriers, and helped identify operational projects.-Served as process owner of CML’s project methodology which included developing forms, project management tools and training in project management discipline.-Served as project manager on tactical and operational initiatives including: Columbus Commons Reading Room, Organizational Climate Survey, Disaster Recovery, Policy and Procedure Review, and Process Improvement Identification. Served as process owner on tactical and operational initiatives including: Document Management & Warehouse Inventory.-Chaired operational project which centralized system-wide mailing and reduced postage costs by over 50%.-Collaborated with team members on implementation of a new point of sale system; automated manual processes; reduced risks associated with staff handling low dollar, high volume cash transactions.

Managed three staff members on the administration of organizational development (OD)/training activities for the library system. Recommended the $330K staff development budget for system, provided budgetary reports, and recommended changes in budget as needed. Responded to management and employees on OD matters, provided coaching to managers and employees on leadership, competency, and personal development. Participated in numerous Human Resources initiatives; developed various programs and oversaw a variety of tactics.-Conducted competency assessments. Created competency models and training tracks for each job description.-Created the annual coordinated training plan. Assessed training needs for entire system; made recommendations and implemented training solutions.-Created & coordinated the Wellness Program. Held first 2-day Wellness Fair, June 2006. Provides consulting services and/or keynote/breakout session presentations to libraries on a variety of topics including but not limited to facilities management, construction projects, architect selection, construction management selection, general project management, leadership, wellness programs, training & development programs.

As President: Leads and sets strategy for the Chi Omega, State of Ohio Alumnae Association. Oversees planning of bi-annual Chi-O-Hio Day. As Past President: Trains and Mentors officers and ensures continuity in leadership for the organization.

Taught a variety of courses including: Group Dynamics, Portfolio, Composition 1, and Composition 2. In addition, served as a substitute as needed for a variety of courses.

Sr. Manager (Training - last position held) – Held a variety of positions, promoted 8 times during tenure. Began employment with LCI International. As a training supervisor and manager, supervised over 20 staff members including trainers, managers, supervisors, and coordinators in 4 locations (Denver, Co., Dublin, Oh. Minneapolis, Mn., and Arlington, Va.). Assessed departmental training needs for assigned units began at 450 and grew to over 4000 employees. Interviewed and selected training staff as the unit expanded. Provided a variety of reports to management. -Key contributor to the founding and creation of the Dedicated Provisioning University (DPU), which grew into the Qwest Production University (QPU). -Determined curriculum development priorities and provide feedback/prioritization of Qwest Virtual Learning online training modules; determine QPU website content. -Negotiated with numerous vendors.
