Wengu Eddy Hu, an independent artist, gamer and music composer living in New York. As an indie game developer with more than 10 years of experience, he is also a well-known influencer of artificial intelligence art & restoration with 500k followers online, and a senior developer technologist in the field of computer vision as Baidu Paddle Paddle Developers Experts.Eddy worked as a freelancer on many important projects over the years, gaining extensive experience in AI video restoration, independent game development, and animation/game soundtracks. As an AI restorer, Eddy has been invited by CCTV and People's Daily to use a series of AI technologies to colorfully restore many precious black and white historical video materials, and his works have been on the trending list of social media platforms in China for many times as his AI colorization videos got over 100 million views in total across the internet. As a game developer, Eddy has independently finished the complete production process of many games such as "Eddy Violet", "The Con Simulator" (won the Silver Award of International Tencent Youth Game Designer Challenge), and "Zombies Shall Not Pass!" (Selected in IndieCade E3 Showcase 2016), and is skilled in using Unity engine, FL Studio music composing software and other production tools.In terms of composing music, Eddy has participated in the soundtrack or sound effects of many 3D and 2D animations and indie games such as Bloody Dairy, Run Cat Run, In A Good Way, Luscious and Verge, Cognition, etc. The films have been selected for screening in dozens of film festivals around the world, including the Festival International du Film d'Animation d'Annecy in France. In collaboration with new media artist Cao Yuxi, Hu Wengu participated in the soundtrack of the audiovisual installation "ORIENS東" at the Today Art Museum in Beijing, and "红潮_RedTide" was featured as one of the participating pieces at Gravity Tower [Remix Edition] in ShenZhen, April 2018.Eddy graduated from Renmin University with a degree in Fine Arts and later received his MFA in Computer Art from School of Visual Arts in New York.
