Study diabetic hyperglycemia promotes tumor progression and tumor angiogenesis via glycation mediated ECM stiffening

Work together with a team of 5 to organize social events for the biomaterial community, hold “2022 Biomaterials Day” with regional universities and invited speakers.

Study ECM stiffness regulation of tumor metastasis and tumor angiogenesis.

Worked on the following research projects under the mentorship of Dr. Reinhart-King:1) Focal adhesion kinase meditated matrix stiffness regulation of endothelial barrier integrity;2) Tissue transglutaminase 2 regulation of tumor cell tension homeostasis.

Worked in Stanley Lab with the prophage team and studied prophage mediated regulation of marine Escherichia coli glucose uptake and metabolism profile.

Worked in OUC-IGEM team during this period. We reconstructed intracellular compartments in E.coli by expressing an artificial magnetosome membrane gene cluster, quantified the growth of Magnetospirillum Magneticum with a micro fluidic system designed by us. I finished the research article ''The Minimum Gene Set to Determine the Development of Magnetosome Membrane Compartment in Escherichia coli'' as the first author, compiled the lab manual of OUC-iGEM team synthetic biology laboratory as the lab manager. Our team (http://2013.igem.org/Team:OUC-China/) won the best model prize and golden medal, in 2013 iGEM competition, Asia. This project also won the Excellent National Training Programs of Innovation for Undergraduates Project award.
