As a young child my father frequently bought basketball tickets to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Growing up outside the city meant we drove into downtown, parked on the outskirts, and walked through the streets to go to games. I recall being in awe as I soaked in the atmosphere of Minneapolis. It was always an experience I looked forward to, often times more than the game itself. Transitioning into early adulthood, I was enhancing my communication and leadership skills working rigorous hours at Cargill Salt. At this moment in life I began researching and exploring the history of Minneapolis. Once again, I felt the same excitement and curiosity as when I walked downtown with my father. Through my free time, I was able to find my passion- it was the city. I enrolled in classes and dedicated myself to obtaining my degree in Urban Studies.In 2020, I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Urban Studies and a minor in Geography. My time as an undergraduate helped me pursue my interests in preserving the past, present, and future of cities while sharping my skills in researching, writing, cataloging.Today, I am the receiving manager at Nickey Kehoe in Los Angeles. My primary responsibilities include directing, handling, and storing third party, vintage, and Nickey Kehoe collection houseware and furniture in the back of house.
