1. To develop and implement a fleet replacement strategy to ensure that the organisations fleet is reliable and that it meets with the organisation and its customers requirements. This strategy must fall within the approved budget.2. Ensure that fleet network is configured optimally and that downtime is minimized and when problems are identified and corrected timeously.3. Annually formulate the Fleet budget, inclusive of planned maintenance 4. To cost effectively manage the workshop, workshop staff and ensure that the quality of work meets with all OEM requirements.5. Ensure that all vehicles are equipped with spare wheels and tools etc.10. The control of all tyre replacement.11. Management of tyre pressure monitoring and wheel alignment.12. Ensure that all the vehicles are road worthy and comply fully with any and all statutory requirements.13. Ensure that the vehicles are prepared and pass COF testing timeously.14. Develop a standard branding specification.15. Ensure that the vehicle branding meets with the company’s standards.16. Develop and implement cost saving ideas related to the fleet within the company.17. Plan and carry out regular analysis on the profitability and costing of vehicles and routes.18. Assist with in the costing and preparation of all tenders. 19. Develop a monthly report that summarises the statuesque of the company’s fleet, usage and performance etc.20. Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
