Belgium

The past two years, together with my business partner, Jason De Feyter, we have developed ideas and products to support sustainable software solutions for organizations that are involved in reverse and forward logistics business processes. Target markets for our solutions are waste and recycling companies, so called 3PL service providers or any other organization that requires integrated functionality to take care of the return of used products, the dispatch of goods, equipment and people to project sites or even the forwarding of products in a multi company environment. From august 2012 we bring our products & services to the market through AXi Software . As a Microsoft independent software vendor our solutions are mainly adding value to Microsoft Dynamics AX. In Belgium we’ve started already some projects, but the official product launch is planned for September 2012. My role within the company will be the business development for our products and the training of senior consultants.

Antwerp

In June 2007 I took up the IT manager position at AWW (www.water-link.be), a Belgian water utility company. Microsoft Dynamics AX supports almost all business domains within AWW. We have about 250 concurrent users on the platform. The main ICT partner for AWW is ITINERIS (www.itineris.net). We use their solution for our customer care processes. With the migration to AX 2009 we have aligned the version of this add-on module with our colleagues of VMW (www.vmw.be). ITINERIS has built a ‘community software package’ on top of Xellent. Xellent is a product for utilities from EG UTILITY (www.egutility.com).For horizontal ERP domains and our service management , consultancy and development is done in-house. Developers are employed on time & material basis. We have integrated two add-on solutions for AX from DYNAMICS SOFTWARE: Service Management & RT-WMS for the warehouse operations.Our ERP environment is integrated with a GIS system for the infrastructure network. On this moment we are preparing the migration of our old systems to newer systems based on ESRI technology and third party solutions:• ARCfm-UT from AED SICAD • GeoCortex from LATITUDE GEOGRAPHICS• Infonet & Infoworks form INNOVYZE.The system will also leverage todays integration scenarios with CRAB, GRB and GIPOD (www.agiv.be).

Gent Area, Belgium

From June 2006 till May 2007 I worked as program manager for QUADREON, a Microsoft Dynamics AX partner. AVANADE (www.avanade.be) acquired QUARDEON in 2008.

Turnhout

From 2001 until mars 2006 I was the managing director of LD CONSULTING, an ICT service company for the IBM iSeries platform. LD CONSULTING realized several projects for SITA in Belgium & the Netherlands. The waste and recycling solution was also implemented for SHANKS Belgium (www.shanks.be) , METALLO CHIMIQUE (www.metallo.com ) and several waste & recycling companies in the public sector among IVAGO (www.ivago.be) , IVVO (www.ivvo.be) , Limburg.net (www.limburg.net) and IVAREM (www.ivarem.be) . LD CONSULTING also helped KRAAN BOUWCOMPUTING BV (www.kraan.com) , a software company in The Netherlands, in modernizing their ILE/RGP software with our JAVA based framework for the iSeries platform. Almost all the software solutions build by LD CONSULTING are still used today but the clients are now supported by LISIS TECHNOLOGY bvba (www.lisis.be). LD Consulting had invested too much money in JAWFLOW, a JAVA based framework for the iSeries platform. Our strategy was based on a new future for the iSeries platform, but unfortunately this momentum for the platform didn’t happen. On top of not been able to profit from new dynamics in the iSeries market, Sita Corporate (France) made a decision that SAP had to be the platform for the future. Our growing activities for Sita in the Netherlands were immediately blocked. We had just implemented our CRM for the sales people in The Netherlands and had linked the software with CLEAR from GMT Europe. LD Consulting went bankrupt in 2006. This was a very difficult period in my personal life, a dream collapsed and a lot of money was lost, but in a way it has also forced me to learn from my mistakes.

Beerse & Hq Ukkel (Brussels)

I started my professional career as ICT manager for WATCO. WATCO was a company of the FABRICOM group (www.fabricom-gti.com), with the mission to become an international player in the waste- and recycling business. In 1991 WATCO had just started with the expansion of the group in the nineties. I had to learn the business at LEYSEN CONTAINERDIENST in Beerse. LEYSEN CONTAINERDIENST was the first major acquisition in the waste collection business. During a period of almost ten years I’ve had the opportunity to actually setup from scratch the ICT systems and support organization for the WATCO group. ERP solutions for this new line of business didn’t exist. We had to develop our own in-house system WOIS (WATCO Operational Information System). WOIS is until today used by SITA Belgium (www.sita.be). Just before the take-over of WATCO by SITA in 2000, the WATCO ICT shared service center was staffed with around 30 internal workers and an average of 15 external workers. The in-house ERP system supported the following functional domains:• An integrated financial system. On top of this system we’ve build an activity based accounting model for the waste and recycling business.• CRM for the waste and recycling business• Supplier and treatment center materials portfolio management• Planning & scheduling of material collections.• Arrival & acceptance of material arrivals for the internal treatment centers• Reporting to public authorities & producers organizations• MRO purchase• Plant maintenance• Project Management for industrial services: industrial cleaning, soil remediation, asbestos removal, demolition works and other projects that go together with the removal of used products.
