During my professional career over the past few years, I have repeatedly come up against the limits of safety and registration issues for LED-screens. In 2016, I set myself the goal of improving the fire behaviour of commercially available Led screens in such a way that in the future, in the event of a fire, LED-screens would no longer pose a risk to the life and safety of people.In search of solutions, I conducted fire tests together with numerous experts. And eventually got results. In order to fully concentrate on their implementation and marketing, I decided to leave the management of the blowUP media GmbH in 2016.In the same year I got my solution protected through international patents and founded Screen Experts GmbH. With this specially developed and patented technology, LED-screens undergo a multi-layer process, done in Europe, to improve fire behaviour and can even achieve building material classes A2-s1-d0 according to the EN 13501-1 standard. This means that the latest generation of LED-screens are non-flammable, have little to no smoke development and no burning parts can fall off the LED-screen. Fire protection certifications for LED-screens are so far unique on the market and a milestone in the development towards safe, non-flammable LED-screens. It includes both internal and external fire protection for LED-screens.The "Screen Fire Protection" process I developed and patented was first presented to the public at the Arena Summit in Frankfurt in September 2022. The feedback was overwhelming. With our new "SFP" technology, LED-screens can now be installed where fire safety issues have previously prevented installation due to the considerable risk that LED screens presented.As a result, new advertising locations can be created by marketing companies in airports, train stations, stadium, and arenas, which represent high sales potential, and at the same time simplify the approval of authorities to use LED-screens in these areas.
