To develop handy skills and to promote my passion for Afrikaans I started with the production i.e. writing the text, video editing, photo editing and more for a YouTube-channel with which teenagers and adults can learn Afrikaans by working through the video lessons. TrueLocalHeroes is a new business created to connect communities' best individuals so that they can exchange their skills and talents. I was brought in to provide extra support just before the launch. It was my goal to learn the ticketing platform ZenDesk and serve as an expert. I had to help train the agents doing the customer service. Furthermore, I built up skills in Slack and Basecamp.

The University employs second year and older students to guide newcomers in their first year. A week prior to classes a specialized program is run by the HC, Head committee, of the various Residences and Private Student Organizations (PSO) with the help of the Mentors to introduce first years to campus and university life. This includes tours, fun games and talks about important topics such as workload management and mental health.

Working part time in the Spar supermarket during weekends and school holidays behind the till as a cashier. Scanning products and processing payments while occasionally having to transcribe checks for bulk orders. When handling money and doing Point-of-sale transactions a focus was needed to ensure that the right slips were kept and the correct amount of cash was received and given back to the costumer so that I was not under or over in money at the end of the day.

Initially got work at Spar as a packer where I developed work ethic. The work consisted of being on your feet the whole day packing bags, moving shopping carts and helping carry bags to the vehicles of customers. With proper social communication during these moments monetary tips where handily attained.

My former school had an Entrepreneurial Program where every Friday students could bring their own foods, self-made or bought, to resell during break. With a friend I did this from grade six till grade ten. The work consisted of handling cash transactions.
