About Werner H.
Werner graduated with a Bachelor honours degree (NZ equivalent) in Communication technology in Germany. His career in the electronics industry spans more than 43 years. In Germany he worked for SEL AG, now part of the Thales group. Werner’s career commenced with embedded HW and SW development and grew to involve customer requirements elicitation, analysis - converted into design, International projects (being responsible for project management), customer visits and training, supporting field trials with customers as well as growing his technical knowledge.In 1995 Werner commenced work for Tait Communications Limited (NZ based). He advanced his career from Senior SW engineer, to SW team lead, project management and systems engineering of an infrastructure project (TETRA radio base station), Systems engineer for the TETRA handheld, Manager of the Systems and Architecture team and finally Systems Technology leader.Apart from his technical expertise in protocols such as P25, TETRA and DMR, solution development and establishing of/ mentoring in product systems engineering principals and practises, Werner was also heavily involved as a member of international working groups - ETSI and the DMR Association. As part of the DMR Association he presented at the IWCE technical college from 2011 to 2013.In the later phase of his career at Tait, Werner was tasked with the change management (including defining the items of change) and introduction of lean and agile principles into Systems engineering.Werner is a multi skilled person with broad as well as in-depth knowledge in technical and management areas. Specialities:Systems Engineering for solutions / products, Enhancements in systems engineering, Technical , Project, Team, Change Management, Relationship building and managing, Team Building, Communication, Collaboration and Information flow.
