I spent a considerable part of my professional career at the National Bank of Hungary, finally as Deputy Governor and a voting member of the rate-setting council. My main duties were the design of the monetary policy framework, the conduct of monetary policy, statistics and international organizations, among them the World Bank, EBRD, ECB. Since 2005 I’m working as an expert on public debt management, public finance, and government securities market development. On behalf of IMF, UNCTAD, USAID, and the Commonwealth Secretariat, I headed or was part of public debt management projects mainly Asian, but also Central European and African countries, covering topics as government debt strategy design and implementations, the conduct of workshops and providing hands-on training.
