In 2009, I started my flying career in Bethlehem at the age of 17. After Matric I left for Johannesburg to complete my CPL and moved back to Bethlehem where I had my first flying job as a survey/corporate pilot. Unfortunately, the company went folded and I moved to Pretoria to complete my flight instructors rating whilst refuelling and working operations for Blue Chip Flight School. Upon completion, I was employed by the school as a Gr.3 instructor and also as a part time charter pilot at their sister company FlyJetstream Aviation. I went on to complete my Gr. 2 instructors, and worked part time for numerous private owners in between for extra experience and flight time. In December 2016, I left Wonderboom Airport after 4 years of service and broadened my horizons at Federal Airlines, where my duties included training captain on the PA31 fleet as well as line pilot on the C208 Caravan. I was then given a part time opportunity to fly captain on multi turbine aircraft at Echo Skies during peak tourist season until working on contract for Air-Tec Global on Let 410 aircraft. Through hard work and dedication I have reached my dream of becoming an airline pilot at Cathay Pacific Airways, and moved to Hong Kong to live my dream and grow in the company.
