I am currently the LMA Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive of a Group subsidiary LMA Plus (Pty) Ltd. I hold a BA. Hons. M.A. Political Science from the University of Johannesburg and is completing his doctorate (Eng.D) in Business Engineering at the University of Warwick, England. Until April 2010 I was the Divisional Director for Strategic Research and Business Development of one of the largest Johannesburg Securities Exchange (“JSE”) listed Business Process Outsourcing Companies in South Africa. I was in that position for 10 years where he also served as a member of the Board Committee on Transformation and the Corporate Services Executive Team. As Head of Strategic Research and Business Development, I developed South Africa’s first comprehensive Employment Index. It was recognized as the Employment Barometer in South Africa. I presented this Index internationally including The Staffing Industry Analyst Executive Forum in Miami, USA. For my work Werner was awarded the Chairman’s Award for Innovation and also Leadership which he received from the then Board Chairman, the late Dr. Frederick van Zyl Slabbert. I was the Chairman of the South African Chapter of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) and member of the South African Marketing Federation. I am member at the Institute of Directors Southern Africa (IoDSA), ProudlySA, Capital City Business Chamber, EBI, and Ekurhuleni Captains of Industry. I also served as Chairman the Capital City Business Chamber, member of the executive and board of Diamond Chamber of Commerce, member of the Small Business Institute (formerly the AHI) Gauteng Board, SBI Council of Provinces as well as member of the SBI National Executive Council.I have delivered papers at various national and international conferences on Business Development, Human Capital Development Trends, Competitive Intelligence, Competitive Strategy, Transformation and tenders. I was also a part time lecturer at the DaVinci Institute for Innovation & Technology Management and also lectured at Monash South Africa. I also represented South Africa in 2012 as the Captain and Manager of the South African Fly-Fishing Team to the World Fly Fishing Championships in Slovenia. I also served as President of the Gauteng North Fly-Fishing Association as well as member on the Board of the South African Fly-Fishing Association.
