I've been in construction since 2004. I've also been involved in major projects such as Soccer City, Nelson Mandela Bay Soccer Stadium and have also worked abroad (UAE/Mozambique/Namibia/Zambia (from H/O). I'm also an ISO 9001/2008 accredited auditor and also do internal and off site compliance inspections. Duties also include but was not limited to inspections on concrete works (institute and pre-cast)/pilling/sliding/welding and steel fabrication inspections/civil works/ building works/earth works/ and inspections on bridges-culverts/paving works (Concrete and pavers)/release inspections of Infraset sleepers in Brakpan/audits/rail works/piping works (laying/welding/release inspections). I was also based at Head Office and at the peak of the industry had 24 people reporting to me as head of Quality department (portfolio Civils). I was involved in all tenders/startup meetings (H/O and Site/ wrote all QCP's of projects/PQP's/checklists/and was only quality manager interacting with client relating to quality issues. Mostly all sites where managed from Head Office but was also involved within site activities and at one stage managed Civils/Sliding/earthworks/Head Office functions simultaneously. I am well equipped to perform QA/QC functions as well as managerial functions. I did training and gained experience in both fields.
