Manage a staff consisting of eight Hearing Officers and two Administrative Assistants; conduct a thorough review of the decisions drafted by the Hearing Officers to ensure they are legally, factually, and grammatically accurate; respond both orally and in writing to issues and complaints raised by customers and other outside parties; review monthly expenditures of the Hearing Office to ensure they are correct; respond to appeals filed by customers against the agency in circuit court by creating the appellate record; review and compile statistics which measure the work of the Hearing Officers; responsible for monitoring legislation and attending meetings in other areas of the Department which will impact the Hearing Office; undertake various projects as assigned.
