Responsible for the financial health of the company, by taking control of the company’s accounting function. Producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy in order to optimize the company's financial performance and strategic position. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term, by managing and facilitating a weekly review of business objectives with management.Currently responsible for driving Digital Transformation within the Accounting function. My role is to lead various teams during the implementation of Robotic Process Automation (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable), workflows (Automating employee expense claims, Asset Management) and Reporting (Qlikview based).

To ensure that all financial transactions are executed, recorded and reported as per generally accepted accounting principles, international accounting standards and as per management policies and procedures. I oversaw all aspects of the accounting function which include managing a team of accountants both local and overseas, reconcile receivables, financial reporting, cash management, lead the development and enhancement of field accounting and financial processes, facilitate exchange of financial information within the company, and conduct company- wide audits.Successfully developed Regression model for projecting Company KPI's (Revenues and EBITDA) on a weekly basis, up to 95% accuracy, over the previous years. This model is additionally used to give guidance on expectations during Forecast and Budgeting processes.

The Afrifresh Group is one of South Africa's top agricultural producers, with large Citrus and Grape production at its strong base. A fully integrated business, its activities span farming, packaging, technical assurance, quality control, marketing, exporting and logistics.During my time I successfully developed a Aggregated Valuation model for the whole business, to be presented to potential buyers. This model final lead the the successful take-over of the Company in 2016, with final by-out based on the valuation model I prepared.I was responsible for all reporting of the Company (Grape and Citrus Divisions, 11 Companies in total), overseeing a team who supported these entities with daily activities. Responsibilities also included preparation of the Quarterly report to our Board of Directors. I was also responsible for the Technical accounting of our Farms (biological assets) and the full Audits of all Grape Farms (5 Farms).

A subsidiary office of an International packaging company, I was responsible for accounting and reporting of the South African office and their operations in the Sub-Sahara Africa region.I lead the establishment of a new legal entity in Nigeria, to be responsible for our technical services in the country, due to increase regulatory requirements. My energy and focus granted me the opportunity to take the lead in drafting templates for Monthly reporting, annual budgets and Legal Agreements on behalf of our main Shareholder, SIG Combibloc Obeikan.

A subsidiary office of an International packaging company, I was responsible for managing and controlling the accounting function for the local office in South Africa.I successfully introduced accounting software (as compared to the previously being outsourced) and implemented internal controls to ensure the full accounting function was executed in-house.

A small-medium sized audit firm, I completed my articles while studying part time toward my CA(SA) qualification. I was given additional responsibilities from early in my career, the result of my passion for what I do and the high quality of my deliverables. Before leaving the firm I was responsible for various large Audits (included i my portfolio were multiple vehicle dealerships and a leading agricultural machine manufacturer), where I lead engagement teams to quick and efficient execution of Audits within required time frames and in line with IFRS and Audit requirements.
