As a Senior Director in Information Security at FINRA, he is responsible for Security Architecture and Cloud Security functions, overseeing security partnerships across technology and business to ensure rapid, secure adoption of technology and comprehensive security of cloud computing platforms.Prior to his current role, Joshua was an SVP in vulnerability management and data protection at Truist Financial, where he led his teams in engineering, developing, and enhancing critical security applications and drove core alignment across cybersecurity in a transformational move to the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. He also served at Capital One as a Manager in Cloud Governance, where he supported the development of technical control requirements for securely running AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and subsequent implementation of controls across numerous cloud technology platforms.Joshua's previous work includes serving as a Security Engineer at BAE Systems, where he was responsible for the development, engineering, deployment, and operations of cybersecurity tooling in support of enterprise security operations. He is also an AWS Solutions Architect and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). Joshua holds a BS degree from James Madison University's Integrated Science and Technology program as well as a CISO Executive Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University. With a proven track record of success in driving security innovation, compliance, and performance, Joshua is an excellent communicator and collaborator with a passion for working closely with technology and business leaders to ensure effective security risk management.
