Client: Eskom Holdings (Pty) LtdProject: HVDC Accelerated Ageing ChamberM-Tech Industrial (Pty) Ltd., a multi-disciplinary engineering company, was appointed by Eskom Holdings (Pty) Ltd to conduct the project management and integration of the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Accelerated Ageing Chamber (AAC) test facility’s design and associated construction and commissioning activities. In this role I assisted the Client with contracting strategy development and compiled documentation, including detailed works information for the design, construction and commissioning of a HVDC AAC.

Client: Lodestone NamibiaProject: Lodestone Dordabis Iron Ore Pre-feasibility StudyATEC PMC is a design and project management company operating in the mining and minerals processing industries. The company was appointed by Lodestone Namibia (Pty) Ltd to complete a Pre-Feasibility Study on a mining prospect in Dordabis, approximately 70 kilometres south east of Windhoek. I developed the Project Execution Plan for the Lodestone Dordabis Iron Ore Pre-feasibility Study, compiled the project budget and verified member sub-contracting budgets. In addition I contributed to the setting up of the integrated Cost Management System for project expenditure control.

Client: Department of Science and Technology (DST) - Hydrogen Infrastructure Competency CentreProject: Systems Integration and Techno-Economic StudyM-Tech was appointed by the HySA Infrastructure Competency Centre to lead the SITE project, which had the primary aim to investigate and compare alternative hydrogen production, storage and distribution technologies and technology pathways in terms of technology and market risks.- Served as Project Engineer on the first phase (SITE I), in studies of thermo-chemical hydrogen production cycles and contributed to a review of technology options for utilisation in hydrogen production systems in South Africa - Provided project engineering and management support on the SITE II project - Contributed to the evaluation of ten hydrogen production systems

Client: Department of Science and Technology (DST) - Hydrogen Infrastructure Competency CentreProject: Thermo-Chemical Water Splitting Component Development (TCWS CD)The first phase of the TCWS CD project aimed to create a detailed survey on existing research on the HyS hydrogen production process and to provide a critical evaluation of the currently proposed systems. - Served as project engineer and project manager and managed a diverse and experienced project team- Summarised existing knowledge, evaluation outcomes and design data needs for the HyS process- Developed the TDRM process for use in the follow up phases of the project, focusing specifically on technology and component development associated with the decomposition reactor and the electrolyser of the HyS process

M-Tech was contracted to participate in the techno-economic investigation into the feasibility of coupling a nuclear reactor with various process heat technologies.
