This is not limited to the local instances of the client in each country. The assignment involved the investigation of the feasibility to support all European branches from one host location (NL, Amsterdam). Covering all systems and all processes within the clients organization. The reduction of running cost together with the standardization of services were the foundation of the business case. My stream investigated the Channels domain. Within scope of this stream were all online and offline channels used by the clients and employees. The investigation was twofold. Main priority was to identify the showstoppers which could not be closed. Thereby we had to identify the approximated cost for the project to enable the Bank in a Bank model on the existing system landscape.Initially the research focused on the smallest branch in Europe. The need to reduce IT cost, combined with a strong ambition for growth, made it obvious to use this branch for the proof of concept. During the process there was constant awareness to identify which solution contributed to the generic Bank in a Bank model. And which solutions were based on local requirements.
